Rarely can one find artists who continue to generate organic music and artistry despite our increasingly superficial world. While many artists may be content to depend their career entirely on mainstream trends that are sure to garner views and traction, Nikita Afonso has made it her mission to create songs that provoke human emotion. She has taken her love of country music and made it her own, incorporating modern components and inspirations from her favourite artists, Lennon Stella and Sasha Sloan, to name a few.

Pat calihou Métis artist   is best known For carving Métis style paddles, canoes ,Métis playgrounds ,traditionally built red river carts and most recently a full size replica York boat and a full size red river cart located within the walls of fort Langley national historic site.

He is a multi instrumentalist specializing in slide guitar and Métis blues. Although he is known for his wood carving abilities today he will be telling us a story and carving on his guitar .

Penny and Fae will take you on a journey through the seasons as they learn all about the natural rhythms of planet earth. Road Engine Dreams (R.E.D.) is an all Indigenous rock band from Vancouver, Canada. Nominated for "Best Rock Album of the Year" at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in 2008, R.E.D.'s fusion of traditional and contemporary rock sounds has earned them a spot on the list of top 10 Native American rock bands. Their songs are driven by powerful stories rooted in love, loss, resilience, and Indigeneity in a rapidly changing world. Despite being relatively unknown outside Vancouver, R.E.D. is a rising force in Indigenous rock music.

Rangla Punjab Arts Academy was founded in 2016 by renowned Punjabi folk singer Sarbjit Cheema. Their vision is to provide the upcoming generations with a platform in which they can connect to their cultural roots, and their mother language Punjabi.

Rangla Punjab Arts Academy has always stood by teaching their members values and ethics. Semiah is a trailblazing Kanien’kehà:ka (Mohawk) pop electro-RnB songwriter, producer, and multidisciplinary artist who effortlessly traverses a spectrum of emotions through her versatile writing style. Semiah provides the perfect soundtrack for every moment in your life, whether you're in the mood to dance, have a good cry, or simply vibe with the universe.

Semiah's rapid success began with her debut, "Nothing Can Kill My Love for You," hitting 100,000 streams since 2021. Her self-produced EP, "After the Night Ends," released in 2023, features standout tracks like "Celestial Bodies," a love letter to her Haudenosaunee ancestors.

Shawn Bullshields was born and raised in Southern Alberta, a member of the Blackfoot Nation. In 2010, he began pursuing music professionally in Vancouver.  Since 2015 Shawn has been busking full time on Granville Island; he is a singer/guitarist and has a natural charisma and professional delivery that combines a repertoire of songs from the genres of pop, blues, country and folk: The point where they intersect is through his masterful singing voice.  He commands instant attention because his voice conveys the truth, beauty and deep meaning within each song, expressed with the full weight of his personal life experiences.  Shawn sings straight from the heart. 

The Steel School of Irish dance is located in Cloverdale and South Surrey and has been serving the community for over 35 years. Dancers from the school range in age from 3 to adult. With both competitive and recreational programs, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Dancers from the school have achieved great success both locally and internationally with both Regional and National titles in solo and team dancing. Irish dance is not only a beautiful art form and athletic activity - it's the perfect activity to learn a new skill, stay physically fit and make new friends!

Terrance Wang

Terrance is a Two Time Canadian Yoyo Champion. He has been yoyoing since he was 7 years old, out of his own interest. He has competed nationally as well as internationally. He represent Canada in World Yoyo Contests. Terrance is now 17 years old grade 11 student who is dedicated in his studies. He continues his passion for yoyo, so when he's not competing, he performs at events and festivals. He is a frequent performer at Richmond Night Market in the summer. 

Terrance Wang

Terrance is 18 year old  4x Canadian Yoyo Champion. He is a self taught yoyo performer. He has been yoyoing since he was 7 years old. Terrance competes nationally and internationally. Last year he achieved top 10 in World Yoyo Championship on Osaka, Japan. Terrance plans to continue his yoyo journey by performing , competing and sharing his passion in yoyo. He wishes to become a World Yoyo Champion in the near future.

Waceya Metis Dance Troupe is made up of youth ages 6-14 performing traditional Metis jigs and reels. They have performed in numerous venues including festivals, Cloverdale and Langley rodeo, parades etc.. They have been performing together since September 2022 and will be travelling to Batoche Saskatchewan in July to compete nationally. 

Wayne Lavallee is a Métis singer-songwriter, actor from Vancouver, raised in Surrey BC.
Releasing the album Green Dress in 2004, he won the Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for album of the year in 2004. He was also a Juno Award nominee for Aboriginal Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2005, and won the Canadian Folk Music Award for Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year at the 2nd Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2006.

His follow-up album Trail of Tears, released in 2009, won the awards for Best Male Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Acoustic Folk Album at the 2010 Aboriginal Music Awards, was a Juno nominee for Aboriginal Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2010, and a Canadian Folk Music Award nominee for Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year at the 6th Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Will Stroet of Will's Jams is a JUNO-nominated musician, nationally recognized educator and former CBC Kids TV star. His high-energy rock-pop music in English and French is full of witty wordplay and sing-along choruses, inspiring kids to be active, creative, caring and community-minded.  

Will’s 12 albums in English and French have garnered national acclaim, including a 2017 JUNO nomination, 7 nominations from the Western Canadian Music Awards, 3 from the Canadian Folk Music Awards and 2 from the SiriusXM Indies. In 2015, UBC’s Faculty of Education honoured Will in their top 100 Alumni awards.

​​Duniya Dance Academy Inc. is an International award winning dance studio that was established in 2001. There are two beautiful studios at our spacious South Surrey Location. The company is run under the direction of Ms. Nilum Sidhho (BA, BEd, UBC) who is the only Female Canadian Ambassador of the World Bhangra Council and a High School Dance Teacher for the Surrey School District. Bhangra and Bollywood dance lessons are offered at the studio by our talented Staff Team.
